This policy explains what personal data jerrybuildsbricks.com collects, why, and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
The data controller is [your legal name], [postal address], Czechia. Contact: [contact email].
What I collect
- Orders and account: name, email address, billing details you enter, the items you bought, order history, and your account login (passwords are stored hashed).
- Payments: handled by Stripe, Square or PayPal. I receive confirmation of payment, never your full card number.
- Support: emails you send me and messages you write in the live chat (Tawk.to).
- Site usage: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and referral source, collected by Google Analytics.
- Technical and security data: IP address and log data used to keep the site secure and working, and to prevent fraud.
I do not send marketing emails. You only receive messages about your orders and support requests.

Who receives your data
I use the following service providers, who process data on my behalf: Stripe, Square and PayPal (payments); SendWP (order emails); Tawk.to (live chat); Google (analytics); [hosting provider] (hosting); and [backup storage provider] (backups). Some are based outside the EU, including in the United States. Where data leaves the EU, I rely on the safeguards each provider offers, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. I do not sell your data.
Cookies
- Essential: keep you logged in and remember your cart. These do not need consent.
- Analytics: Google Analytics cookies help me see which builds and pages are popular.
- Chat: Tawk.to sets cookies so a chat conversation can continue across pages.
Analytics and chat cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer, or by deleting cookies in your browser settings.
How long I keep data
- Order records: as long as accounting and tax law requires.
- Your account: until you ask me to delete it.
- Chat transcripts: [12] months.
- Analytics data: [14] months.
- Backups: rotated automatically and deleted on a schedule.
Your rights
You can ask me for access to your data, a correction, deletion, restriction of processing, a portable copy, or object to processing based on legitimate interest. If processing relies on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Email [contact email] and I will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Czech data protection authority, Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů (uoou.gov.cz), or to the authority in your own country.
Children
The shop is meant for adults and for parents buying for their children. It is not intended for children under 15, and I do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If I change this policy, the new version is published here with a new date.
